BCE 1214 Sociology of Education

This course helps us to understand how public institutions and individual experiences affect education and its outcomes. It is mostly concerned with the public schooling systems of modern industrial societies, including the expansion of higher, further, adult, and continuing education.Demonstrate an understanding of the key concepts and theoretical approaches in the sociology of education and how they have changed over time,It also  develops an awareness of social context, of social diversity and inequality and their impact on educational processes and outcomes
