BAS1013 Principles of Programming
Course Synopsis
This subject introduces the fundamentals of programming using the C programming language as a medium where the student will be introduced to the algorithms of computational problem solving; learn to incorporate elements, components, syntax and structures of the C programming language through the phases of designing, coding, debugging, testing and documenting console coded programs in the C language.
Business Intelligence
This subject focuses on business intelligence – an information
technology approach to data collection and data analysis to support a wide
variety of management tasks, from performance evaluation to trend spotting and
policy making. The analytical components and technologies used to create
dashboards and scorecards, data mining methods for trend and sentiment
analysis, and artificial intelligence techniques used to develop intelligent
systems for decision support will be covered.
Theory of Probability Nov 2021
This is a calculus-based course which require students a strong concept
in calculus and probability. Students will be introduced to basic concept of
probability, random variables and their applications.
Calculus and Linear Algebra Nov 2021
The
module leads the students to understand the elementary concepts of calculus and
linear algebra such as vector, matrices, function, differentiation and
integration and series.
