DET 4143 Introduction to Geospatial Technology

This course will introduce fundamental concepts of Geospatial Technology including geographic information systems (GIS), global positioning systems (GPS) and remote sensing. Students will learn how to use these geospatial technologies and tools in addressing human and environmental problems.                                                                                                                                                                               


DET 4103 Building Construction Technology

Building construction technology is the application of technology to be integrated into the designing of the building.  The latest technologies will generate a new design to be applied in construction methods. Students will be exposed to the latest technology to reduce the collective environmental impacts during the production of building components, construction process, as well as during the lifecycle of the building.


DET2073 ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMISTRY

This course provides the significant knowledge of chemistry in atmosphere, air and water pollution and fossil fuel. This course also will allow students to explore the underlying chemical principles in detail of renewable and clean energy for future generations.

DET4133 Introduction to Occupational Safety, Health and Environment

This subject introduces student to the history and development in occupational health and safety. It consists of investigation of incidents, examining safety precautions, hazard analysis, motivation and principals of occupational safety and health. Safety measure in an organization in terms of handling and labelling hazardous materials will be discussed in this subject. Besides that, students will also be taught about precautions in avoiding accidents in terms of operation, equipment, lighting, ventilation, noise, electricity, device equipment and diseases.
