Welcome to FIB1103 Critical Thinking.

I will be your lecturer for this Course. )

The aim of this course is to help students to acquire knowledge, improve their theories, and strengthen arguments. Students can use critical thinking to enhance work process and improve social institutions.

The course enable student to engage in reflective and independent thinking, With critical thinking student able to deduce consequences from what he knows, and he knows how to make use of information to solve problems, and to seek relevant sources of information to inform himself.


Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the course students should be able to:

1) Recognize the logical connections between ideas.

2) Assess the inconsistencies and common mistakes in reasoning.

3) Evaluate the problems in critical thinking manner.

FIB1074 Principles of finance

This course provides an introduction to the basic concepts of corporate finance. The objective of the financial manager is to maximize the market value of the firm's shares. In this course, the concepts and tools that are needed to make decisions that increase the market value of the firm's shares are examined. The concepts and tools that are covered include the valuation of future cash flows, the valuation of shares and bonds, capital budgeting, risk and return, capital structure, dividend policy and risk management.

FIB1054 Mathematics for Business

Mathematics for Business is a compulsory course for students intending to pursue a degree program in Business and business-related fields such as Finance and Management. The study of Business Mathematics is about solving standard mathematical problems encountered routinely in business life. This Business Mathematics syllabus provides a framework that encourages students to identify, understand and perform standard business calculations.
