BFI2213 ISLAMIC FINANCIAL PLANNING
This
course is designed to enable candidates to develop an appreciation of Islamic
financial planning. Candidates are provided with an outline of each of the
major concerns of a financial planner as preparation for the extensive study to
be covered in the other courses of the IFP program. The module prepares
candidates towards becoming a competent financial planner capable of meeting
the financial planning needs of the client in conformity to Shariah.
BFI2033 PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT AND APPLICATIONS
This course covers the essential theories and their application to the practice of security analysis and portfolio management. Concepts discussed include mean-variance analysis, portfolio optimisation, asset pricing theory, market efficiency, security analysis, fixed income portfolio management, portfolio risk management and portfolio performance evaluation techniques. Students will also be provided with an awareness of the on-going developments, and controversies in this area of Finance.
BFI2073 RISK & BUSINESS CONTINUITY
This course examines all aspects of financial
risk management, from global considerations right down to the fundamental
aspects of the management of a particular profit centre. It emphasizes the need
to understand conceptual and implementation issues of risk management and
examines the latest techniques and practical issues.
