This module aims to prepare the supervisors to be more organized in planning and managing their supervision. It identifies the level of involvement and expectation of both supervisors and supervisees so that implementation of postgraduate student supervision can be effective and successful.

The relationship between supervisor and supervisee is pivotal for an effective supervision. The module describes features of a supervisory relationship and provides practical ways to establish and sustain effective supervisory relationships for completion of the supervisees’ research.

Synopsis
This module addresses supervision in several aspects of students’ welfare and wellbeing. The supervisory practices in facilitating the students are explored in a practical manner. It also introduces the various elements of support available in students’ academic progress.
