Environmental toxicology, also known as entox, is a multidisciplinary field of science concerned with the study of the harmful effects of various chemical, biological and physical agents on living organisms. Students will learn to differentiate different types of toxic substances, including pesticides, heavy metals, and industrial chemicals, and the ways in which they can enter and move through the environment. They will also gain an understanding of the different routes of exposure to these substances, including ingestion, inhalation, and skin contact, and the various factors that can influence their toxicity.
DET3093 WASTEWATER DISPOSAL SYSTEM
This course will expose students to the treatment process and the importance of proper disposal of wastewater. Students will learn the basic characteristics and sources of wastewater and various types of wastewater collection systems. The system can be designed to provide low-cost sanitation for the environmental protection while providing additional benefits from the reuse of water.
