This course examines the foundations of educational theories, philosophy, and principles to understand the driving purpose of education as we know it today. It challenges the setting of curriculum goals and the thinking that determines how and why the goals are set. In this course, students discuss the inter-relationship between educational theories, principles, and philosophy with the forms, functions, and roles of education: in schools, educational institutions, and society.
